Sandra has been making people feel beautiful for over 30 years.

Our beautiful Mum, Sandra, was recently diagnosed with AML leukemia. Around a week after diagnosis, she was admitted to hospital for a month of treatment. Sadly, by the time she comes out, she will have lost all of her hair.

Anyone who knows Mum knows how beautiful she is both on the inside and out. She is the most generous and compassionate person to everyone she meets, and impacts those who get the honour of meeting her through her northern humour and kind approach to people from all walks of life.

A lot of the friends she has made have been through various jobs in her life, and most notably through hairdressing. For over 30 years, Mum has been styling people’s hair, making them even more beautiful and confident in the process.

When Mum comes out of the hospital, she is going to need help finding that same beauty in her hair again. We have created this charity primarily because we have been inundated with friends who would love a way to give beyond prayers and support to Mum’s recovery.

Why it matters. 〰️

In true Sandra fashion, she wants us to take this opportunity to bless and ‘adorn’ those beyond her reach as well.

We invite you to contribute to wigs, not only for our Mum but for as many women as the fund allows.

A real hair wig can cost $3,000–$5,000. A quality wig doesn't fix the diagnosis. But it can give someone their familiar reflection back.

We understand that this is not cheap, and is exactly why we invite you to give towards this cause.

Not only to help our Mum get the wigs she deserves, but also to help other women who might not have the support or means around them that our Mum has been blessed with.

* If you are giving outside the US, you can still give at the secure link above.
You can pay in USD or your preferred home currency.

Sandra built her career around one simple thing: making people feel good about how they look. Salon chair by salon chair, client by client, she understood that beauty isn't shallow — it's how people show up in the world.

When she got her diagnosis, her daughters asked what they could do. The wig was the answer. But the more they thought about it, the more they realised Sandra wouldn't want it to stop there.

So Adorned became a fund — for Sandra's wig first, and then for as many women as we can reach after her.
